Two Penticton runners were listed to be at the 2013 Boston Marathon. Multiple explosions have been reported at the marathon's finish line in downtown Boston.
Ellis Andrews, 68, and Thomas Evans, 44, of Penticton were listed as participants on the marathon's website, www.baa.org. Evans is a dentist and staff at his office told Infotel News he did not attend this year's race. The website stated Andrews finished his race. There is no start time listed for Evans.
Neither Andrews nor Evans could be reached by phone by Infotel News.
Media footage has been showing people with serious injuries and portions of the grounds stained with blood. Military personnel, law enforcement and emergency services have been flooding the area and searching the streets. This story will be updated.
