    KAMLOOPS - Prosecutors in British Columbia have failed to persuade a judge to increase a fine against the owner of the NHL's Dallas Stars for damaging fish habitat in the province's Interior.

    KAMLOOPS - The case against Dallas Stars owner Tom Gaglardi and the Northland Properties Corporation is not over yet as a Crown prosecutor argued the two should pay more for causing extensive environmental damage to a fish habitat. 
  • UPDATE: Dallas Stars owner ordered to pay $140,000 at sentencing

    KAMLOOPS – Dallas Stars owner Tom Gaglardi, and his company Northland Properties Corporation will have to pay $140,000 after each was convicted on two counts of harmful alteration of a fish habitat.

    In Kamloops Provincial Court, Judge Stephen Harrison ordered Gaglardi and Northland Properties Corporation pay $5,000 per count, totalling $20,000 in court fines.
