If you're driving anywhere this Victoria Day long weekend, make sure to keep an eye on your speed.

Police will be conducting a province-wide blitz targeting speeders this weekend as part of a month-long campaign.

According to ICBC, speeding is the number one cause of car crashes in B.C. A recent survey showed that 72 per cent of respondents were concerned for their safety when they were passengers in speeding vehicles.

540 people were injuried across the province in 2300 crashes during the Victoria Day weekend in 2017.

In the Southern Interior alone, 69 people were injured in 350 crashes in Victoria Day weekend 2017.
