Why a Kelowna missing person investigation might be headed in another direction

KELOWNA - The last anyone saw of Gordon Solloway, he was filling his vehicle with fuel in Black Mountain in Kelowna at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 26 and police believed he was headed to nearby James Lake to sight-in a rifle.

But since his disappearance, searchers have been down all the Forest Service Roads between that gas station and around James Lake and found no sign of Solloway — or his grey 2012 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

A day after police said they were suspending their search in that area, a release this morning by Kelowna RCMP Cpl. Meghan Foster assured the investigation continues but suggested they are moving their investigation elsewhere.

“Currently, investigators are working to advance this investigation and do not believe that Mr. Solloway has met with foul play,” she said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Gordon Solloway is urged to contact their local police, or the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300. The public can also remain completely anonymous by calling a tip into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by leaving their tip online at www.crimestoppers.net.
