KAMLOOPS - Kamloops residents were told the city's downtown Paramount Theatre would be ceasing its operations this week, but shortly after the announcement the Kelson Group stepped in to purchase the property.
The property management group's vice president Jason Fawcett told iNFOnews.ca they had stepped in to take over the building, after Landmark Cinemas announced they would be closing it's 503 Victoria St. location.
Tomorrow, April 18, the Kelson Group will be announcing more details about their collaboration with the community and the future of the theatre.
Although not much is being revealed today, last week Fawcett said it was important for the Kelson Group to ensure Kamloops continued to have a viable theatre in the downtown core.
The details of the theatre's future will be revealed tomorrow, April 18, at 12:30 p.m. at a media event.
