KAMLOOPS - It's time to tell the City of Kamloops what you want to see in the upcoming budget and long-term plan.
The City of Kamloops says in a news release that it wants to hear residents' ideas for the future of the city at a round-table discussion with city staff and councillors next Tuesday, Nov. 21.
The discussion will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Valley First Lounge at the Sandman Centre downtown, where you can provide feedback and ideas to be considered in the supplemental budget and the five-year financial plan.
"The planning process is ongoing and may take multiple years to implement," the City says in the release.
City Hall wants to hear your ideas now so that staff can investigate and determine how those ideas can be feasibly incorporated in the five-year financial plan.
After the discussion, the input will be compiled and presented to council which will prioritize the ideas. The top priorities will be costed out and presented to council in January to discuss whether or not they should be added to the budget as part of the five-year plan.
