What a hoot: An owl breakfast too good to share

VERNON - A mouse may not be everyone's idea of a good breakfast, but this footage captured near Predator Ridge shows that this particular owl believes it too good to share.

Bret Chalmers captured the footage of the four owls happily sitting on the deck at a property near Commonage Road, above Predator Ridge, and posted it to the Vernon and Area Community Forum on Facebook today, July 23.

While one owl delivers a mouse for breakfast and flies off, the recipient doesn't seem too happy to share with what may be his or her siblings and retreats into the yard to eat their breakfast away from the jealous looks of the other two owls.
