West Kelowna home seriously damaged by fire

West Kelowna firefighters were called to a house fire yesterday and arrived to find the attached garage in flames.

Crews responded to the 900 block of Ogden road shortly before 11:20 a.m. yesterday, Feb. 23, according to a West Kelowna Fire Rescue media release. There were 17 firefighters, a command officer, two safety officers, four engines, two pumps and a ladder truck.

The fully involved garage was attached to the house’s dwelling space.

There was significant fire, smoke and water damage throughout the structure.

No people or pets were hurt.

Crews remained on scene for fire watch for the rest of the day.
