VERNON - The Vernon Yacht Club will be making waves this weekend with its annual boat show.
The event is happening this Saturday and Sunday at the yacht club, located on Okanagan Landing Road.
The show features marine demos, accessories and hardware, recreational vehicles, outdoor gear, paddle boards, marine upholstery, and, of course, boats.
A number of activities are also on the lineup, including sailboat rides, remote control boats, face-painting, demos of the Nakusp Secondary School’s famous Tri-Flasher fishing lures, and demos of Canada’s fastest boat, the McLennan F1.
Parking is available at Marshall Fields, with a free shuttle to the yacht club running from 8 a.m. to close both days.
Admission to the event is free, but the club is asking people to bring a non-perishable item for the Salvation Army Food Bank.
