The Toronto Raptors took home the championship after six games in the NBA finals against the Warriors, winning last night, June 14, in Oakland, California.

The history-making game had Canadians across the country going wild.

From coast to coast, Raptors viewing parties reached peak levels last night, but it was Toronto where the celebrations took new heights.

Perhaps none were more joyful than the team themselves which not only made basketball history, but made a nation of fans in the process.

Sportsnet announced Tuesday that it set another Canadian record for an NBA game with an average of 6.4 million viewers for Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

Game 4 of the series reached an average of 4.631 viewers on TSN, CTV2 and the French language broadcast on RDS.
