A Kamloops man is wanted on a warrant after he was released on bail for the fourth time on the same criminal charge.
Tyral Dane Lariviere, 37, was originally arrested on Nov. 23 after police found him hiding in a dumpster. Officers were responding to a firearm complaint about a different suspect, but found Lariviere was wanted on a warrant while at the scene.
He was released on bail the next day in Kamloops Provincial Court, but when he likely failed to show for his Dec. 5 appearance, the court issued another warrant for his arrest, according to online court records. He hasn't been arrested since.
Lariviere is facing a charge for causing fear of injury to a person or damage to property.
He's been scheduled for court 12 times since the charge was laid in May, but half of those court dates resulted in warrants for his arrest.
On July 27, a Kamloops RCMP officer spotted him while conducting a wellness check on the North Shore, recognizing there was a warrant for his arrest.
Lariviere ran, according to Kamloops RCMP, and there was a "struggle" when the officer caught up to him and a civilian helped the officer get Lariviere into custody. Lariviere later had a criminal charge for resisting arrest added to his court file, but he was released with bail conditions on July 28.
Police said he was arrested three times since October 2022 for breaches. First was Oct. 23, then Nov. 13 and again on Nov. 23.
Each of those times, he was granted bail shortly after the arrest, then a judge would issue a bench warrant when he was scheduled to appear in court again, according to court records.
As of Dec. 5, the warrant for his arrest is still in place.
