"This past Monday’s town hall focused on COVID-19 and the economy and Sunday’s will address more general questions and concerns. The final town hall on Tuesday, May 5 a 6 p.m. will focus on health and be co-hosted Don Davies, NDP health critic, and Petra Veintimilla, chair of the Okanagan Similkameen Regional Hospital District," according to the press release.

“I’m looking forward to co-hosting with Jagmeet Singh. He is leading our team in parliament as we push to close the gaps in support that people and small businesses need,” Canning said in the release.

The public can participate in the forums through Facebook Live online. The public is encouraged to send in questions via Facebook in advance and during the town hall. Cannings said he and his staff are open to further themes and dates for similar forums if there is interest.

MP Cannings’ offices remain open to serve communities throughout the South Okanagan – West Kootenay region, but will not be open to in-person meetings at this time. Reach the Castlegar office by calling 250-365-2792 or Penticton's office at 250-770-4480 or send Cannings an email.
