VIDEO: Skiers take a shot at suburban locales in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - Normally Kamloops skiers head up to Sun Peaks Resort, but a new YouTube video shows a band of skiers in the Aberdeen and Sahali neighbourhoods.

The footage, shot by Braeden Ennis, shows the vantage from a drone above jumps on the side of Summit Drive, Dufferin Elementary School and the recent Thompson Rivers University big air event.

While the university event was a planned jump, the other two seem more impromptu, using smaller jumps and pieces of their suburban surroundings.

The riders in the video are Logan Dafoe, Cody MacKinnon, Cam Dalinghaus and Justin Hachman. They used a large bungee cord to sling shot themselves over the jumps.

— This story was updated at 10:40 p.m. Feb. 1 to add the names of those involved in the video.
