KELOWNA - Five days worth of activity at Kelowna International Airport can be viewed in under five minutes, thanks to a recently-released time lapse video of an apron expansion project.
The 4-minute, 30-second video shows activity on the airport apron over five days and nights. Each second represents around 30 minutes of real time.
Airport spokesperson Jenelle Hynes says the footage was collected over a five day period last September to monitor and show the ongoing construction project. She says they plan to release more time lapse videos in the coming months.
"It's only a sample," she says. "We actually had the cameras up for about two months and we're still filming all the construction that's going on."
This particular expansion, which can be seen in the background of the video, started last September and is expected to finish end of next month.
