Vernon's incumbent mayor Victor Cumming will spend another four years in the top job.
Mayor Cumming received 4,346 votes, beating his main challenger Scott Anderson who received 3,673 votes, at today's Oct. 15 municipal election.
Third in the race was Erik Olesen who took 530 votes.
Cumming's win will see him take a second term as mayor of Vernon.
Incumbent councillors Kelly Fehr, Kari Gares, Teresa Durning, Akbal Mund and Brian Quiring and all hung onto their sears.
New to the council table is Brian Guy.
There were 13 people running for the six city council seats.
The referendum on the Activity Living Centre has passed with 5,121 votes in favour and 3,282 votes against.
A total of 8,677 voters turned out to the polls in Vernon this year, representing 24.4% of eligible voters, according to the city. In 2018, voter turnout in Vernon was 29.6%.

In a statement the City said, "The number of votes reported for ‘Yes’ was underreported by 100 votes. The total has been updated to reflect a vote tally of 5121 for ‘Yes’. The update does not materially change the outcome of the Active Living Centre referendum."
