VERNON - Police in Vernon are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who allegedly robbed a yogurt store earlier this month.

RCMP say at 5:41 p.m. on Aug. 13, officers responded to a reported robbery at the Peachwave Frozen Yogurt Store on 27 Street in Vernon.

The man didn't show a weapon, but he wouldn't show his left hand and the clerks were lead to believe he had a weapon, according to an RCMP media release. Police were on scene within minutes but were unable to locate the suspect, the release states.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his late 30s. He was wearing a two-toned grey and black jacket with a bright yellow zipper and jacket liner, grey sweatpants, and white and black runners.

If you have any information that could help identify this person, you're asked to call Vernon RCMP at 250-545-7171 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
