Vernon RCMP are investigating after discovering a pickup truck ablaze Monday evening.

According to a Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media release, the newer model pickup was fully engulfed in flames when police, along with Vernon Fire Rescue, headed to the 4400 block of 20 Street at roughly 11 p.m., Aug. 3.

"At this time, investigators are treating the fire as suspicious," Vernon RCMP Corp. Tania Finn said in a media release. "The investigation is ongoing, however, no suspects have been identified."

Vernon RCMP are appealing to anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Const. Ben Freeling on the non-emergency line at 250-545-7171, or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or leave a tip online at www.nokscrimestoppers.com.
