The hunt for three suspects after what Kelowna RCMP call a "high value" art gallery theft early yesterday morning.
The Lower Mission art gallery's surveillance caught three masked men enter through a broken glass door, then separate to four locations, according to an RCMP news release.
RCMP said the suspects took four statues of "significant value."
“These types of crimes affect our small business owners who are just trying to survive in these uncertain times and the RCMP will use every investigational tool available to bring these (three) to justice,” Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Const. Mike Della-Paolera said in the Kelowna RCMP news release.
Police got a report of a broken glass alarm at the gallery on the 500 block of Raymer Avenue around 4:30 a.m., Feb. 28. Police didn't name the gallery, but it appears to be Gallery 421.
Police are asking the public who may have been in the area and witnessed anything unusual or have dash camera video footage around the time in question to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference file number 2023-10959.
