Original Publication Date December 05, 2017 - 5:31 AM

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. - Police say 10 high school students and one adult were taken to the hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries after a crash involving a school bus and a minivan in Connecticut.

The crash occurred in South Windsor at about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Fire Chief Kevin Cooney says 10 students on the bus were taken to Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford.

Deputy Police Chief Scott Custer says only one had a visible injury — a minor cut. About a half dozen other students were not hurt.

The driver of the minivan was also hospitalized.

The bus was taking students from Hartford to South Windsor High School. It had to be towed from the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
