ATLANTA - A wig designer has sued singer Nicki Minaj, accusing the star of harming his business and selling wigs based on his designs.

Terrence Davidson filed a lawsuit Friday against Onika Maraj, who uses the stage name "Nicki Minaj (mih-NAHJ')," and Pink Personality LLC.

Attorneys say Davidson started working as Minaj's hair stylist in early 2010. Over the new few years, he designed wigs for the singer, who is known for wearing flamboyant hairpieces.

In the lawsuit, Davidson says he and Minaj's representatives discussed launching a reality TV show or creating a new wig line. Instead, Davidson says he was later ignored by Minaj and accuses her of selling wigs that he designed.

A spokeswoman for Minaj did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
