Police: Internet cafe guard kills 2 armed robbery suspects

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Authorities say a security guard fatally shot two armed robbery suspects at a Florida internet cafe.

The Florida Times-Union reports the robbery attempt occurred Sunday night at Spin City Sweepstakes in Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Raheem Jason Prather, 23-year-old Raymond Dixon and a third man walked into the business carrying guns, while a fourth person waited outside in a vehicle. As the suspects attempted to rob the cafe, authorities say, the guard shot the suspect closest to him and then continued to fire as the other two fled. One of those suspects was fatally wounded while the other escaped with a graze.

The sheriff's office didn't immediately identify the security guard, but confirmed he wasn't an off-duty officer.

Authorities say they're looking for the third robbery suspect.
