NEW YORK - Ben Okri's "The Famished Road," the Booker Prize-winning story of a spirit child in an African city, is finally coming out as an e-book.
The digital publisher Open Road Integrated Media told The Associated Press on Thursday that the 1991 novel will be available for downloads in the fall.
The 57-year-old Nigerian writer is also known for the short story collections "Stars of the New Curfew" and "Incidents at the Shrine." He is the recipient of numerous honours, including the Commonwealth Writers Prize.
Open Road has acquired digital rights to a range of literary classics, from Alice Walker's "The Color Purple" to William Styron's "Darkness Visible."
