A Taylor Swift fan was willing to speak with a news reporter on camera, but she had to cover her face with a blanket to avoid getting caught in a lie.
Along with her friend, the two Swifties were waiting in line for a Taylor Swift merchandise truck to open up in Cincinnati, Ohio. They were supposed to be at work that day but told their bosses they were sick that day.
One of the women playing hooky agreed to a news interview. To remain anonymous, both Swifties wore pink blankets over their heads, and the woman speaking with the reporter was wearing pink sunglasses over her blanket.
“I almost named my daughter’s middle name Taylor, so,” said the blanketed woman, who is taking an 11-year-old girl to tonight’s Taylor Swift concert in Cincinnati.
“We’re going to cross our fingers that work doesn’t find out, right?” the reporter said, after asking about friendship bracelets.
“No, they’re not, we’re good,” according to blanketed woman.
