VERNON - Three men have been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing that took place in Vernon almost two years ago.

Matthew Patterson Kler, born 1997, Brennan Joel Metlewsky, born 1996, and Jordan Robert Kupser, born 1996, were charged May 2 with the attempted murder of Sean Robinson. The three stand accused of stabbing Robinson on May 15, 2017. The three would have been between 20 and 22 years old at the time of the stabbing.

On May 15, 2017, Vernon RCMP released information that a 45-year-old man was in serious condition after he had been stabbed following an incident at an apartment building in the 2900 block of 43rd Ave in Vernon.

Kupser has outstanding charges in Kelowna for theft and credit card fraud, dealing with an identity document without lawful excuse, and possession of a controlled substance, as well as previous convictions for theft and assault.

Metlewsky and Kler have no previous convictions in B.C. for violence.

Metlewsky and Kler are due to appear in court May 13.
