A teenager was transported to hospital with injuries just before 8 p.m. Oct. 31 after being struck by a vehicle in West Kelowna.

West Kelowna RCMP were called to the 2200-block of Highway 97 in West Kelowna after a 14-year-old boy attempting to cross the highway between intersections was stuck by a northbound vehicle, Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said in an RCMP press release.

He was transported to hospital by B.C. Emergency Health Services with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, Noseworthy said in the release, remained on scene and co-operated with the investigation.

No charges have been laid, and the investigation is ongoing.
