RCMP have identified four suspects investigators believe were involved in vandalizing a bronze statue in Kelowna’s downtown.

“The Working Man” statue at the intersection of Bernard Avenue and St. Paul Street sustained significant damaged when it was knocked from its foundation in the early morning hours Saturday, Aug. 12. RCMP released images of the suspects yesterday.

“These individuals caused significant and costly damage to something with sentimental value to Kelowna’s downtown core and community. It's imperative that we work together and hold those responsible accountable,” Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Michael Gauthier said in a media release Tuesday.

Police now say the four suspects have been identified and no further information will be shared with the public at this time as the investigation continues.

RCMP also thanked the public for their help identifying the four suspects.
