Suspect arrested following suspicious death in Kelowna

Kelowna RCMP found a 27-year-old man lying dead on the ground outside a home in the 1700 block of Highway 33 yesterday, Dec. 13.

They were responding to calls about a disturbance at about 9:15 pm.

“The investigation is in its' early stages and officers will be in the area for an undetermined amount of time,” RCMP Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said in a news release. “This tragic incident appears to be isolated in nature, and we do not believe there is a threat to the general public.”

A suspect has been arrested and is in custody, but no charges have yet been laid.

The Major Crime Unit and B.C. Coroners office are investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at at 250-762-3300.
