We've heard it time and time again — support local during the pandemic. Even though many Christmas markets have been cancelled this year due to COVID-19, there are plenty transitioning outdoors and online.

Check out this list of holiday markets in Kamloops and the Okanagan, where you can continue to support local, at a time when small businesses need your help more than ever.

Okanagan ChristmasFest

Browse the outdoor market at Meadow Vista Winery in East Kelowna Dec. 1 to 12 for the twelve days of Christmas. Click here to see market hours.

The market features local artisans including FOUND + MADE with local vintage goods and B.C. Haskap with hand-crafted Haskap Compote and liquor filled chocolates.

Tickets are limited, purchase them in advance here.

Online Christmas Fair

This Facebook group was created to share local goods online for Christmas. It works like a Facebook classifieds group, with independent artists posting their products for sale. Everyone who purchases from one of the vendors will be entered in a draw for three prizes, a $100 gift card for Pizzamoreh, $75 for T-Bones and $25 for Blenz Coffee.

Here's another Facebook Christmas market group, specific to Vernon.

Grizzli Winery Holiday Market

Visit Grizzli Winery in West Kelowna and peruse their outdoor market. It will run two weekends, Nov. 28 and 29, and Dec. 5 and 6. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition to over two dozen local vendors, there will be wine tastings, live music, a food truck and holiday floral workshops. Buy tickets here.

Craft Culture

Local products through Craft Culture are now available online at any time. You can check out their wide selection of Okanagan and area products, just click here.

They are also scheduled to hold an in-person market at Prospera Place in Kelowna Dec. 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kamloops Christmas Craft Market

The online Christmas market, hosted by Kamloops Craft Market, will take place in this private Facebook group Dec. 4 at 9 a.m. until Dec. 6 at 9 p.m.

They will be giving away "market money" at random for shoppers to spend in the Christmas Craft Market group. To apply to be a vendor, click here.
