Sunny but not too hot weekend ahead for Kamloops and the Okanagan

This week’s moderate temperatures are expected to continue through the weekend, according to Environment Canada’s online forecast.

Highs are forecast to reach 28 Celsius in Kamloops today, Aug. 10, with a 40% chance of showers this morning.

Skies are expected to clear this afternoon with sunshine in the forecast through to, at least, Wednesday.

Temperatures should gradually warm to the low 30s C and could hit 37-38 C by midweek.

Kelowna and Vernon should see highs of 26 C today with a mix of sun and cloud. That will change to sunny skies on the weekend with temperatures gradually rising to 35 C by Wednesday.

Penticton will start off a little warmer with a high of 28 C today. The same 35 C high is forecast for Wednesday.
