The Summerland Health Centre Laboratory will be closed temporarily beginning on Nov. 16.
Any patients with appointments will be notified directly, according to a press release from Interior Health today, Nov. 12.
Those who require ECG service – electrocardiograms – will have to go to Penticton where the service is available at the hospital and at Okanagan Clinical Labs.

Those in need of a walk-in clinic will have to travel to locations to the north or south of town.
Walk-in service will be available at the Valley Medical Laboratory in Peachland, the Penticton Regional Hospital Laboratory and both of the Okanagan Clinical Laboratory’s locations in Penticton.
Interior Health does not say why the health centre will be closed or when it is expected to re-open.
