KELOWNA - A 23-year-old man who was allegedly assaulted in a street brawl was found lying on the road by police.
Police say the event happened about 12:25 a.m. June 17 in front of the Starbucks located at Bernard Avenue and Pandosy Street. Witnesses told RCMP they saw a group of men fighting and then fleeing towards Harvey Avenue. The unconscious Kelowna man was found lying in the street.
"The man appeared to have been severely assaulted and was rushed to hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition," said Const. Kris Clark in a press release.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Three suspects were taken into custody and the investigation into their involvement in what is being labeled an "aggrivated assault" is ongoing.
