Chris Ashby hits school-record 11 3-pointers, scores 34 as Queens University tops Bellarmine 98-76

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Chris Ashby broke his own school record with 11 3-pointers, scoring 34 to lead Queens University to a 98-76 victory over Bellarmine on Saturday.

Ashby took 20 shots from beyond the arc for the Royals (7-8, 2-0 Atlantic Sun Conference). Ashby set the record in February with nine 3-pointers against Central Arkansas. He also has a game with eight 3-pointers, and six games with seven.

Carson Schwieger made 5 of 11 from distance, adding 17 points and five rebounds for Queens University. Jordan Watford had 12 points.

The Knights (5-9, 0-2) were led by Jack Karasinski with 24 points. Brian Waddell added 15 points for Bellarmine and Kenyon Goodin contributed 11 points and six rebounds.
