NARAMATA - A South Okanagan winery is hoping to recover some stolen goods, including a company pickup truck, with some help from the public.

Lang Vineyards general manager Michael Lang says the winery on Gammon Road Naramata was broken into last night, Jan. 7.

He says thieves made their way into the winery building through a side door that leads to the wine cellar. They were able to open a pull-up door which gave them access to the office, where the safe and a new Galaxy Samsung tablet was taken.

Lang says the wine shop cash register was also accessed.

"They took the till float and found a spare key to the company truck," Lang says.

The suspects used the spare key to steal the company’s 2012 grey Dodge Ram pickup. The winery’s logos are clearly visible on the truck, making it difficult to miss.

Lang says he was surprised to find no wine missing.

"They might have taken a bottle or two, but they actually stole pop instead," he says.

Anyone who sees the truck is being asked to contact the RCMP.

Lang would appreciate hearing from anyone who spots the truck as well. He can be contacted at 250-809-2808.
