Winter isn't done with the southern Interior yet with a snowfall warning issued for the South and Central Okanagan, along with the Nicola region including Merritt.

Environment Canada says a developing weather system is approaching southern B.C. and will bring snow to the region starting tonight, Feb. 27. Forecasters say the snowfall is expected to be heavier closer to the US-Canada border.

"Southernmost portions of the Fraser Canyon, Nicola and Central Okanagan regions, including Boston Bar, Tulameen, parts of Highway 5A and areas near Peachland, could see upwards of 10 centimetres by tomorrow afternoon," the warning states. "Lesser accumulations are expected further north towards Merritt and Kamloops."

Highway 3 through the Allison Pass may see as much as 15 cm or more.
