London Cramer wants skiers and snowboarders to remember her friend Ryan Shtuka who went missing at Sun Peaks Resort nearly five years ago.
She's designed and built ski run signs in memory of Ryan Shtuka and has started putting them at ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains.
A "Ryan's Run" sign now points toward an out of bounds double black diamond run at Sunshine Mountain Resort in Alberta, which she installed on her own. Cramer is hoping Sun Peaks Resort will name its own run after Shtuka, whose disappearance is still a mystery, nearly five years later.
On Feb. 17, 2018, Shutka was 21 years old when he left a house party at the resort community. He was never seen again. His disappearance sparked months of search efforts to find evidence of where he went, but little, if anything, offered any answers.
Cramer started an online petition to ask Sun Peaks to name a run after Shtuka, which has more than 700 signatures so far.
"Ryan is a truly amazing person and I believe he deserves his legacy to continue," her petition reads. "He loved to snowboard and I think we should continue to honour that."
Cramer is hoping to post more "Ryan's Run" signs at ski resorts in B.C., but she has her eyes set on Sun Peaks.
