It may be summer but on some parts of Highway 97 it feels like winter.

Residents shared an image of Highway 97 this afternoon, Aug. 22 before Sikanni Chief, an unincorporated settlement located in the Rocky Mountains, in the northern direction towards Pink Mountain.

Residents report snow, freezing rain and black ice along the highway.

DriveB.C. has not reported any road conditions or events pertaining to snow on the highway at this time.
