WEST KELOWNA - Three Central Okanagan Regional District parks are closed in West Kelowna because of the danger from Smith Creek wildfire.

Glen Canyon, Shannon Lake, Rose Valley Regional Parks are all closed as a result of fire activity and will remain closed until further notice.

"The Regional District apologizes for any inconvenience and encourages visits to any of our other Regional Parks," Bruce Smith with the regional district said in a media release.

The wildfire has forced the cancellation of Friday’s tour of the newly renovated Westbank Cemetery, but the Music in the Park concert will continue Friday evening. The concert starts at 6:45 p.m. at Memorial Park in West Kelowna.
