VERNON - A child was at home when shots were fired at a Vernon home last night, but luckily no one was injured.
Around 11:35 p.m., June 26, shots were fired at a home on Scott Road, RCMP say in a release. An adult and a child were home at the time and while the bullets did strike the home no one was injured in the incident.
It is unclear why the house was targeted, Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says in the release, but RCMP continues to investigate.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Several other reports of shots fired at homes earlier this year are also under investigation in Vernon.
