Mounties arrest alleged sex offender who posed as modeling agent in B.C.

RICHMOND, B.C. - A British Columbia man is facing 11 charges related to sexual assault, break and enter, theft and fraud.

Mounties in Richmond, B.C., said in a written release that the alleged crimes of 28-year-old Novid Dadmand date back to 2008 and span the four Metro Vancouver jurisdictions of Richmond, North Vancouver, Surrey and Burnaby.

Police alleged Dadmand used social media to befriend people, and often used the alias Robert Peako.

Dadmand allegedly told his victims he is a modeling agent and asked them to meet him for a photo shoot in exchange for money and gifts.

Police alleged Dadmand, who appeared in provincial court on Wednesday, committed most of the criminal offences during these meetings.

Anyone with information about Dadmand are asked to contact the police.
