Get out your umbrellas, or better yet, just stay indoors for a while if you live in the Salmon Arm area.
Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
They said radar indicated a relatively stationary thunderstorm about 25 kilometres west-southwest of Salmon Arm capable of producing pea to nickel size hail. As of 1:45 p.m., the warning was ended as the storm has weakened or moved out of the region.
Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
A severe thunderstorm watch remains in place for Southeastern Chilcotin - including Big Bar Creek, Fraser Canyon North - including Lillooet, Hundred Mile, South Thompson including Kamloops, North Thompson and the Shuswap.
