More extreme weather is expected in the Southern Interior today.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch that encompasses Southeastern Chilcotin - including Big Bar Creek, Fraser Canyon North - including Lillooet, Hundred Mile, South Thompson including Kamloops, North Thompson and the Shuswap.
"Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain," the national weather agency said.
The main threats, according to the alert, are a slight risk of pea-to-nickel size hail, heavy downpours of five to 15 millimetres and 70 kilometre an hour wind gusts.
If this weather alert comes to fruition, it should start in the afternoon and carry on until the evening.
