Search and rescue crews will be back in Kelowna's Mission Creek this Saturday as they continue to search for Chelsea Cardno.
Water levels on the creek that travels through Kelowna into Okanagan Lake have been too high and unsafe for search efforts. By Saturday, June 25, the level of the raging creek is expected to drop again.
Cardno, 31, was last seen leaving her Rutland home around 8 a.m., June 14. She was taking her German shepherd JJ to the park and her car was found on Pasadena Road near the Mission Creek Greenway.

The day she went missing, Mission Creek peaked, reaching a flow of 124 cubic metres per second. According to Environment Canada, the flow rate tripled in one day, measuring around 38 cubic metres per second, June 13.
Central Okanagan Search and Rescue volunteers will join Kelowna RCMP when searches resume this weekend.

Crews have also paused the search for Oluwaseun Adedeji, 34, of Calgary who jumped from a boat on Okanagan Lake and didn't resurface.
Kelowna RCMP are bringing in a towed SONAR and a remotely operated vehicle to search for Adedeji, Ed Henczel with search and rescue said.
