SQUAMISH - The Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish is closed for the foreseeable future due to a "major lift incident" according to an alert posted to its website.

"At approximately 4:30  a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, we received an alert that the haul rope for Sea to Sky Gondola had fallen and the lift was inoperable," reads a media release on the incident.
