VERNON - A pair of people caught on camera stealing from a local farm’s honour box have been caught and are facing possible charges.
Police say a 36-year-old Vernon woman and a 44-year-old Vernon man were identified as the people stealing eggs and organic meat from Mama’s Farm stand in Vernon. Police did not release their names.
RCMP Cpl. Yannick Lescarbeau says in a media release several counts of theft will be recommended against both individuals. Crown counsel will have the final say in approving the charges.
Mama’s Farm owner Genniene Sutherland says she lost roughly $800 due to the the repeated thefts, which were all caught on her video surveillance system.
