Carlos Santana and band are stopping in Penticton as part of the North America Spring 2022 Blessings and Miracles tour.

From the 15-date tour attendees can expect high-energy, passion-filled songs with fan favourites throughout Santana’s 50-year career from Woodstock to Supernatural, a South Okanagan Events Centre media release said.

The Blessings and Miracles tour kicks off on March 25, 2022, and will mainly tour through the U.S., with stops in Victoria, Abbotsford, and Penticton on April 2, 2022.

“With his latest release Blessings and Miracles, Santana delivers one of the most ambitious, inspired, and flat-out magical records of his storied career,” the release said.

Blessings and Miracles feature collaborations with artists including Rob Thomas, Chris Stapleton, G-Eazy, American Authors and Ally Brooke, with features from Chick Corea, Steve Winwood and Corey Glover.

“Delivered with a level of passion and soul equal to the legendary sonic charge of his guitar, the sound of Santana is one of the world's best-known musical signatures,” the release said. “For more than four decades, from Santana's earliest days as a groundbreaking Afro-Latin-blues-rock fusion outfit in San Francisco, Carlos has been the visionary force behind artistry that transcends musical genres and generational, cultural, and geographical boundaries.”

To date, Santana has won ten Grammy Awards, three Latin Grammys, Billboard Century Award Billboard, Latin Music Awards’ Lifetime Achievement honour, and was allocated into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Santana has also been cited by Rolling Stone as #15 on their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, the release said.

Recently, Santana celebrated three milestones including the 20th anniversary of the album Supernatural, the 50th anniversary of his Woodstock performance and the 50th anniversary of Abraxas.

He will also continue his residency at the House of Blues Las Vegas in 2022.

Tickets for the Blessings and Miracles tour go on sale on Dec. 17, at 10 a.m.
