KELOWNA - A man was arrested after allegedly attempting to sell the booty from his most recent break and enter venture.

At about 5:45 p.m. June 28, police received a report of a break and enter in progress on the 500 block of Okanagan Boulevard. The 26-year-old Kelowna man called police and said he caught someone inside his home and chased him out toward downtown. The caller lost sight of the suspect and when police arrived, they brought their police service dog to help in the search. They were unsuccessful.

Later that evening, a man matching the description of the suspect was reported trying to sell stolen property near the Queensway Bus Loop. Police found the suspect inside a nearby Subway restaurant.

The 27-year-old suspect was arrested for break and enter, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance. He was remanded into custody and is expected to appear in court today.
