OTTAWA - The Governor General says Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, will visit Canada this May for a royal tour.
The visit, which comes at the invitation of the federal government, is to include stops in Manitoba, Nova Scotia and P.E.I.
The announcement was made today by Governor General David Johnston.
It will be the 17th visit to Canada for the Prince of Wales and the third for the duchess.
The royal couple last visited Canada in 2012 to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
That four-day visit included stops in New Brunswick, Ontario and Saskatchewan.
