Just like mushroom season, there's only a short window to enjoy B.C.'s Marvellous Mushrooms exhibit at the Okanagan Heritage Museum in Kelowna.

The show has been brought to the Kelowna Museum by the Royal British Columbia Museum.

“The Marvellous Mushrooms exhibit has a series of reproduced models that are near perfect productions of the natural specimens they represent,” interim curatorial manager Daniel Becker said in an email. “Which is kind of incredible to see in person.”

He said the exhibit is very well designed as the topic of mushrooms was thoroughly researched by the Royal British Columbia Museum.

“We’re hoping that anyone who comes to see the exhibit will find the information and the presentation interesting and educational,” Becker said.

Admission is by donation and the exhibit runs until May 23. The museum is at 470 Queensway and doors are open Thursday to Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
