KELOWNA - The second annual Hard Knox 12km run will be held on Sunday, Aug. 14.
Starting on Ellis Street in front of Sutherland Park, participants will race towards City Park along City roadways and the Waterfront Promenade before heading back to Knox Mountain Park, out to Paul’s Tomb, and returning to the finish line at Sutherland Park.
To accommodate the event, there will be single-lane alternating traffic on Poplar Point Drive from approximately 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. as participants return to the base of the park from Paul’s Tomb.
The boat launch at Sutherland Park will remain open. In addition, the lower Knox Mountain Park parking lot will be used exclusively for the event starting at 6 a.m. until 12 p.m.; however, on-street parking will be available.
Knox Mountain Park will remain open to the public. Park users are advised to use caution and watch for participants.
