It could have been a very elaborate April Fool's Day prank had it happened only a day later – Rihanna reportedly stopped in Kamloops on her way to Vancouver Sunday afternoon to shop at Walmart.
The Twitter world lit up Sunday around 1:30 p.m. as fans started to report the pop superstar was at the Kamloops Walmart with Maddy Ferguson first tweeting she hoped two large tour buses might mean rapper A$AP Rocky - the opening act for Rihanna's Diamonds World Tour - was at the store and was very surprised when she saw Rihanna.
For the next couple of hours there was a lot of talk about seeing her and her body guards in Kamloops and several pictures were posted. The tweets and pictures continued this morning, Monday, April 1, with many still not believing they had missed out on a chance to shop shoulder to shoulder with Rihanna.
Rihanna performed in Calgary on Saturday, March 30, and will perform in Vancouver at the Rogers Arena tonight, April 1.
